"What do you think Don Mantegna will do when he hears of this, Mr. Traitor?" Matthew asked, standing up and turning his gaze back toward the traitor.

"Mmmf! Mmmfff!" the traitor's eyes widened in panic as he attempted to lunge toward Matthew, but one of Matthew's men tugged on the chain attached to his handcuffs, yanking him back effortlessly.

"You forcibly violated an Omega that was meant to be sold, and worse, you marked him as your own by biting his nape. Do you really believe Don Mantegna will let this slide?"

"—!! Mmmmff! Mmm!"

Matthew shook his head in pity. "Poor Ange… Because of this traitor, you'll never be able to bond with anyone else—not until the day he dies…"

The traitor let out a muffled, enraged cry.

Ange and Amber both looked stunned by Matthew's words. But while Ange's expression remained frozen in shock, Amber seemed to understand the implications immediately. He averted his gaze, his lips curving into the faintest hint of a secret smile.

"And this syringe…" Matthew bent down and picked up a syringe that had been discarded on the floor. "Heroin, is it? I see… So you've already made Ange dependent on it. There's no way we can take him back to Mantegna now…"

"Mmff—mmm!"

"Forming an illicit bond with an Omega meant for sale, and on top of that, using drugs on him… You should prepare yourself for the consequences, Mr. Traitor."

"Mmff—uh!"

The traitor tried desperately to scream his objections, but the gag silenced his words. His furious protests echoed through the room, incoherent and muffled.

Matthew, however, regarded him with cold pity, offering a final remark. "Don't worry. Your subordinates have already agreed to testify. Rest assured, the clan will carry out its punishment accordingly."

He glanced outside, where the traitor's men sat silently in the backseat of a car, their hands bound. They had clearly been persuaded by Matthew beforehand.

The attempted assault may have failed, but the fact that the traitor had smuggled drugs sealed his fate. It was obvious why his men had turned against him—they wanted to avoid sharing in his punishment.

"I'll need to have a word with Lord Aaron and Lord Ange," Matthew said as he turned to his men. "Wait for me in the car."

After handing the traitor over to his subordinates, Matthew closed the door behind them, and then turned back to face Amber.

"I have a message for you, Lord Aaron, from Lord Ian."
