There were only ten minutes left before lights-out.

From the next dorm room, Zhang Ke was shouting, “Oh crap, my clothes are still wet—what am I supposed to wear tomorrow?”

Zhou Haoliang called back, “Go naked, hahaha.”

Their usual boys’-dorm banter drifted through the thin walls.

Yin Che bit down on his lip, holding back any sound.

“Keep your voice down. No one can hear us,” Jiang Yao murmured, chest pressed tightly against Yin Che’s back, the vibration of his words traveling through him.

Yin Che lowered his head, bracing himself against the sink. “…Hurry.”

He had agreed, yet now he only wanted it over quickly.

The closeness was overwhelming; the pleasure too sharp. For boys their age, full of excess energy, it was dangerously easy to develop a craving.

And once addicted, there was no control.

Jiang Yao quickened the movements of his hand, lifting Yin Che’s chin with the other.

“Look in the mirror.”

“No.”

“Be good.”

The alpha’s command carried a faint trace of pheromones; Yin Che could not resist. In a haze, his eyelids slowly lifted.

In the mirror, both their faces were flushed; their bodies pressed together so seamlessly it was as if they had been born that way.

Jiang Yao’s hand was inside his pajama waistband, moving in steady strokes.

Just one glance left Yin Che dizzy.

“Feel good?” Jiang Yao kissed his cheek, pretending not to know the answer.

Yin Che shut his eyes, gritting his teeth, enduring until the very end without making a sound that would embarrass him.

Jiang Yao withdrew his hand and leaned forward to turn on the faucet.

Yin Che stiffened, his body shifting forward, palms pressed against the sink.

Jiang Yao followed close behind, teeth grazing his ear. “Help me… alright?”

Yin Che swallowed, waited for his heartbeat to settle, and reached back—

but Jiang Yao caught his hand. “Spread your legs.”

Yin Che’s head snapped up, meeting in the mirror the wolf-like look in Jiang Yao’s eyes—

Then—click—the lights went out.

Darkness fell.

His alpha’s hot breath brushed his ear. Jiang Yao’s hand slipped again beneath his waistband, cool and damp.

Suddenly everything felt unfamiliar and frightening.

Yin Che couldn’t stop trembling. Though the room was black, flashes of red streaked through his mind.

He gripped Jiang Yao’s hand and whispered, “Don’t.”

But his hand persisted, the alpha releasing more pheromones, as if trying to soothe him into submission.

Every cell in Yin Che’s body rejected it.

He couldn’t even recognize who was touching him anymore.

“Get away… don’t touch me…”

The hand froze.

“Don’t be scared. It’s me.”

The low voice entered his ears—young, warm, gentle.

Yin Che paused, slowly calming. “I… I’m not ready.”

He had told Jiang Yao this many times before, and Jiang Yao had always stopped, always waited.

But how long was he supposed to wait? Yin Che couldn’t answer.

“You are ready. Your heart just won’t admit it.”

Jiang Yao withdrew his hand, and readjusted his clothing. He didn’t touch Yin Che again; he only leaned forward and kissed his shoulder softly.

“I won’t force you. But I don’t want you to keep everything locked inside, so… I used a little trick. I’m sorry.”

Yin Che turned toward the sound. “What did you do?”

Jiang Yao seemed to see clearly in the dark; he found Yin Che’s lips with precision and brushed against them as he whispered,

“Just nudged you a bit. Made you care, made you panic, made you take the first step… and it worked.”

“…So you were acting unhappy these days?”

“No. I was really unhappy.”

His warmed hands wrapped around Yin Che.

“That day I heard what you said to my sister. Someone whose feelings for me are as deep as the ocean, but he only gives me a single cup of water. Tell me—how could I be happy with that?”

“…”

Yin Che stayed silent for a long time; his expression hidden by the dark.

Jiang Yao touched his ear—it was warm.

“Embarrassed?”

“No.”

“But I am,” Jiang Yao murmured, burying his face in Yin Che’s neck. His cheeks were hotter than his skin.

“Just thinking of your words makes me blush… I’d never dare say things like that.”

“…Enough.” Yin Che turned away, avoiding his lips.

Missing his mouth, Jiang Yao kissed his scent gland instead—again and again—grazing lightly with his teeth.

Small shivers ran through the sensitive spot.

When an alpha became clingy, it was truly lethal.

“Whatever I’m thinking, I’ll tell you. What you’re thinking… can you tell me too?”

He gently held the soft skin between his teeth and sucked before releasing it.

“If you don’t want this, just say stop.”

Yin Che didn’t have time to process the words before Jiang Yao’s warmed hand slipped beneath his shirt, tracing the surgical scar on his abdomen in slow circles.

“I won’t ever force you. Believe me.”

After a quiet moment, Yin Che nodded—then remembered Jiang Yao couldn’t see, so he whispered, “…I’ve always believed you.”

…

The next dorm grew quiet; everyone had gone to bed.

Outside, the rain had softened. Late winter night—cold and still.

In the narrow bathroom, their breath mingled, hot and restless.

Yin Che gripped the sink, his knees weakening.

Jiang Yao held his waist, his fingers thrusting forward, slipping a little further inside.

“Does it hurt? If it does, say stop.”

“…Don’t ask.”

Yin Che could barely speak; even his breathing was chaotic. His whole body felt tense.

Supporting his collapsing waist with one hand, Jiang Yao kissed his ear, voice hoarse.

“If it doesn’t hurt… open your legs a little more. I’m uncomfortable.”

There were no pheromones in those words—only sincerity.

He waited until Yin Che shifted slightly, then moved forward, fitting smoothly into the space between his thighs.

His fingers entered deeper as well.

Yin Che lurched forward, steadying himself, grabbing the hand around his waist.

“It… hurts…”

He said it hurt, but he didn’t say stop.

Jiang Yao released a slow wave of pheromones and held still.

“Okay… just like this. I won’t add more.”

“Mm…”

Wrapped in the familiar scent, Yin Che slowly relaxed.

“…You can move.”

Jiang Yao didn’t rush. He turned Yin Che’s face, kissed him deeply, tangled their tongues—

then he began to thurst.

Even gentle, an alpha’s strength could be felt. Through the thin fabric, the motion between Yin Che’s thighs made his pajama pants wrinkle and rub against his sensitive skin, leaving it almost certainly red.

But worse was Jiang Yao’s hand.

Yin Che had always thought Jiang Yao’s fingers were beautiful—long, clean, distinctly masculine.

Tonight, for the first time, he realized how long and thick they were.

“Ge…” Yin Che pulled his tongue back, unable to endure it, whispering, “Be gentle…”

Jiang Yao reluctantly released his lips; his hand softened.

“Like this?”

“Mm…”

“When you enter your heat… it’ll be almost like this.”

Yin Che, dazed:

“Like what?”

“Like this… fucking you,” Jiang Yao panted softly.

“But the thing going in won’t be my fingers.”

“…”

As if he could not possibly not know what that meant.

The air was hot enough to make a person feverish—from their pressed cheeks to their interlaced fingers.

In the darkness, every other sense heightened.

Alpha pheromones surged like waves of scorching heat, dragging him into the sea—rising, falling, sometimes drowning him until he was breathless and weak, sometimes letting him break the surface to gasp sharply, his whole body trembling with relief.

Yin Che tried to resist the storm, but when Jiang Yao’s warm hand stroked his back, a tingling numbness shot up from the base of his spine. He couldn’t help releasing a whimper.

He had never known his back was so sensitive. Every time it was touched, he failed to suppress himself.

Jiang Yao seemed encouraged by that sound, tormenting him even more:

“Feels good?”

“…Shut up.”

Jiang Yao chuckled low. He pulled his fingers out, then pushed them back in, the movement shifting from clumsy to practiced. When he hit a certain spot, the person in his arms trembled violently.

“Do you still think my hands are cursed?”

Yin Che shuddered nonstop as Jiang Yao pressed that sensitive place again and again, his legs clamping tighter and tighter.

Jiang Yao moved his other hand down.

“You’re hard again.”

Yin Che gritted his teeth:

“You’re the one who’s fucking harder.”

The things they were normally too ashamed to say or do were granted boldness in the dark. Jiang Yao leaned toward his ear, a mix of shyness and hoarseness in his voice:

“And you’re wet.”

Yin Che could almost imagine Jiang Yao’s expression behind him.

Jiang Yao wasn’t much more experienced than him; every time, he got nervous, blushed. But he was daring—daring enough that one easily forgot he had only just become an adult.

Eighteen, nineteen—when a boy’s desire ignites, it is unstoppable.

Yin Che wasn’t as bold as he was. Afraid Jiang Yao would say something even more fatal, he turned around and covered his mouth with a kiss.

When the dormitory building finally quieted, the sounds inside the bathroom faded as well.

Those sticky, secret, breathless first experiences washed away with the rushing water.

Jiang Yao’s last few thrusts had been a bit out of control—he’d pinned Yin Che against the sink, slamming into him with ferocity. The entire bathroom echoed with indecent sounds. His fingers pushed in hard and deep, and like a wild animal, he licked Yin Che’s neck over and over, nearly biting into his gland again.

Yin Che reached back and wrapped an arm around his neck. When Jiang Yao’s teeth grazed his skin, he trembled and gasped:

“Ge…”

Jiang Yao froze for a second—and stopped.

Calling him “ge” could make Jiang Yao halt. Yin Che quietly noted that.

…

After roughly cleaning the marks on their bodies and changing out of their wrinkled sleepwear in the dark, the two left the bathroom and returned to bed under the light of a phone screen.

The dorm room was brighter than the bathroom. Outside, the rain had stopped. Clouds had broken apart, and moonlight spilled in, letting the two boys, pressed close together, faintly see each other’s faces.

“It wasn’t as scary as you thought, right?” Jiang Yao tapped his nose.

“See? You’re perfectly fine.”

Yin Che lowered his eyes, looking at his finger.

“Don’t touch me with that finger.”

Jiang Yao paused.

“I washed my hands.”

“Before washing, I heard you licking.” Yin Che glared coldly.

“Pervert.”

“…You probably heard wrong.”

“Pervert.”

“I was just curious what it tasted like—”

“Pervert.”

“It’s not even a big—”

“Pervert.”

Jiang Yao took a deep breath.

“Fine, I am a pervert. So what?”

Yin Che stared at him for a moment, then the corner of his mouth lifted.

“How did I end up liking someone like you.”

Jiang Yao laughed.

“Not just ‘liking,’ right? Didn’t you say you liked me so much it was hopeless?”

“…Shut up.”

“And that you liked me so much you were afraid to tell me—am I really that charming?”

“You’d better shut up right now.” Yin Che narrowed his eyes.

“You even said you weren’t cute…” Jiang Yao caught his fist, leaned in, and kissed him quickly.

“But I think no one is cuter than you.”

“Congratulations, you’re blind while still young.”

“Haha—see? That’s cute too.”

“…I’m sleeping.”

Yin Che turned his back to him. Jiang Yao wrapped an arm around his waist, rested his forehead against the back of his head, and muttered:

“Next time, tell me things directly. Why tell my sister? She doesn’t understand.”

“Sometimes you really aren’t obedient, not gentle… but I like that. I like you no matter what.”

“Don’t worry about me liking someone else. Impossible. I’m like my father—faithful. Once I decide on someone, it never changes.”

“And don’t rush. I released a lot of pheromones today, and you didn’t have a bad reaction. We’re close to success.”

“Next time, let’s try what we did today again, okay? If I make you uncomfortable, tell me anytime. Preferably… tell me when it feels good, too. Okay?”

“Are you asleep? Cheche?”

The dorm was quiet. No answer.

Jiang Yao tightened his hold.

“Good night, baby.”

Twenty minutes later, when the breathing behind him settled, Yin Che quietly turned around, kicking the edge of the school uniform farther away.

Then, pressing close to the chest in front of him, he placed a soft kiss over Jiang Yao’s heart.

“Good night.”
