"No… stop!"
Ange's body trembled with revulsion, his clenched teeth chattering uncontrollably. Strong arms pinned him from behind, trapping him in place, while the man's body heat pressed against his back.
"Stop it!"
No matter how loudly Ange screamed or how fiercely he struggled, the man kept licking at the mark on his neck.
"No… stop!"
That spot was precious to him—Ange's mark, the eternal symbol of his bond with Amber. But now, the man's vile tongue was defiling it, tracing over the scar.
Even though his body refused to move, paralyzed with helplessness, Ange fought with every ounce of strength he had left. Yet, it felt as though his entire being was breaking apart, the remnants of Amber's love still lingering in his body from that full moon night, causing him unbearable pain.
When he tensed his abdominal muscles, the residue spilled out of his anus, soaking the floor.
"You really went at it, huh? Can't even stand on your own anymore. Just take it easy."
"Ah!"
In one swift motion, Ange was lifted and thrown over the man's shoulder. Weakly, he kicked and flailed his arms, desperate to escape.
"No, let me go!"
The man effortlessly carried him and tossed him onto the bed, where Ange's body bounced against the stiff springs. Grasping at a pillow, he hurled it toward the man clambering up after him, but his strength was gone. The pillow didn't even reach him.
"Stay away!"
Ange's voice was his only weapon now, a desperate plea as he was pinned beneath the man's weight once more. The two other men stood by the door, watching with cold indifference.
"No! Amber! Amber…!"
Pressed down by a man far larger than Amber, Ange screamed until his voice gave out.
Didn't I tell you to come back soon? What are you doing? Where are you?
"Amber, huh? You mean Aaron? Well, he won't be coming for you. By now, he has probably already been caught by the Tikaani family's hunters. No one's coming to save you."
—What?
That full moon night… Ian hadn't come after them when they left the room.
"...Why?"
"He may be a half-breed, but he's still an Alpha of the Tikaani bloodline. They need him to sire offspring. Before long, they'll probably pair him up with a proper white-furred Alpha female. Ian doesn't have any heirs yet, after all."
"No…"
"Too bad, huh? Your little runaway adventure ends here. If you really wanted to escape, you shouldn't have used your credit card. The store you went to ratted you out to the Tikaani head."
—Credit card?
Ange remembered now—he had stopped at a gas station before coming here. He cursed under his breath.
"All we needed was a wolf's sense of smell, and finding you was easy. We've just been waiting for a chance to separate you two."
That's how it all happened. While the Tikaani's men chased after Amber, these men—Mantegna's henchmen—broke into the room to claim their stolen prize, Ange, back.
