Translator's Note:
Happy New Year 2026!!
This is the final chapter of "The Mermaid Princess's Little Brother". I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did. If you wish to read more BL Fairy Tales, I made a Rec List for that on NU; you can go check it out here.
I'm also planning on picking up other BL Fairy Tale Novels, and the first one being "Prince Thumb's First Love", although I still don't have the Raws for that one yet. If you happen to have them, and share them with me, you'll be the first person to receive my translation of it, alongside some other benefits.

Here you go, and I wish you a good read.
The Bracelet of Gold〘4〙
"Master Sig?" Theo whispered.
"There are many men who would desire you, whether you wear that ankle bracelet or not. You mustn't give away kisses so freely," Sig murmured, his voice low.
"But I didn't kiss you on the lips. Don't friends kiss each other on the cheek?" Theo asked innocently.
"Not you," Sig replied with a wry smile. "Just because others do it doesn't mean you should."
"Why not? Why can't I?" Theo tilted his head in confusion.
"Because you're far too sweet... When you kiss someone on the cheek, it makes them want to kiss you on the lips, don't you see?"
Sig leaned in closer, his breath warm against Theo's face. There was plenty of time to turn away, yet Theo didn't move. He had no reason to. Even if Sig were to kiss him on the lips, Theo felt no fear. Sig was kind, strong, and smelled of something pleasant and familiar. In fact, Theo was curious—what would it feel like to touch Sig's lips with his own?
A soft, fleeting kiss followed, their lips barely brushing against one another. It was brief, a mere whisper of a touch. But before Theo could even process it, Sig's lips returned, more lingering this time. Several tender kisses followed, each sweeter than the last, until the final kiss became something more—a true kiss.
Their lips met more fully now, and as Sig's tongue gently parted Theo's lips, the boy found himself thinking of his brother Julius and his lover Fernan.
(They used to only brush lips in front of me, but it's clear that when they were alone, they kissed like this. I wonder... I want to be even closer...) Theo mused, his heart racing.
Sig tilted his head slightly, deepening the kiss, and Theo tried to mimic his movements, his own tongue shyly meeting Sig's. His thoughts began to blur as warmth spread through his body, a growing heat between his legs that felt both strange and wonderful. Though he wasn't looking, Theo knew without a doubt that his body had responded to the intimate closeness.
"Ah... Mn... Master... Sig..." Theo gasped, pulling away slightly, his voice a soft whimper.
"Just call me Sig," the blond man replied, his voice rougher than before. "I shouldn't be doing this... but you're irresistible, Theo. I'm worried about what might happen next."
"I... Am I a bad boy? Someone you need to worry about?" Theo asked, his voice barely above a whisper.
"No, you're not bad at all," Sig answered, shaking his head. "You're a good boy. But you need to be careful. I wouldn't want anyone else to do this to you."
Theo shuddered as Sig's hand moved lower, brushing against his stomach. His body trembled, not with fear or discomfort, but with an unfamiliar excitement that coursed through him like fire.
"Ah... Mmn...!" Theo gasped, his body reacting to the new sensations as Sig's fingers grazed his genitals. His mind spun as he became acutely aware of how his member had hardened, pressing against his belly with an aching need.
"Sig... Ah... It feels... strange when you touch me there," Theo whimpered, his cheeks flushed.
"It's all right," Sig reassured him softly. "It's normal, something that happens as you grow older. You can touch yourself like this in private, but don't tell anyone."
"Don't tell?" Theo asked, wide-eyed.
"Yes," Sig said, his voice soft. "Everyone does it, but it's something to keep to yourself. When you find someone you love, you'll share these moments together. You'll touch each other and become one... because when you care for someone, you want to be as close as possible."
Theo's breath quickened as Sig's lips brushed his skin, pressing softly against his chest, his warm tongue teasing the sensitive flesh. Theo didn't quite understand why Sig did this, but he knew the desire to be close to someone he cared about.
(He must like me... Sig must like me if he's willing to go this far... And I... I like Sig too. He's kind, he helped me, and his eyes are so beautiful... He smells so nice...)
On the blanket spread across the grass, Theo straightened his curled-up body. Sig's lips and tongue were at his chest, playing gently with his nipples, and as the tension in his body began to ease, a calm washed over him.
"Theo," Sig asked quietly, "what did that other man do to you?"
"He... He touched me there," Theo said softly, his face flushed. "Then... he put his finger... inside."
"I should never have let him go," Sig growled, but his touch remained gentle.
"Ah... More, Sig..." Theo whispered, his voice breathy with need.
At Theo's pleading, the blond began to suck the pink peas even harder, drawing out more pleasure with every movement. His fingers, slick with the fluid Theo's body had released, moved deftly, finding the secret hole that made Theo shiver and gasp.
"Hyah... Ah... Mnn!"
Sig's fingers slipped inside, probing the same place that had been touched before. Theo's body instinctively curled, trying to escape the overwhelming sensations, but Sig held him firmly, two fingers now pressing deeper. Each movement inside sent a rush of pleasure through Theo's entire body, making him gasp and cry out.
"Fuaa... It feels... good there..." Theo admitted, his voice thick with pleasure.
"Good? That's wonderful," Sig whispered with a smile. "When you're older, I'll make you feel even better."
Theo, lost in the whirlwind of sensations Sig was giving him, rolled onto his stomach, his body moving on its own as he pushed his hips back to meet Sig's hand. Every slick sound, every thrust of those fingers inside him, brought more heat, more pleasure. He couldn't help but beg, his voice trembling, "More... more..."
"Here... is this good? Harder?" Sig asked, his voice rough with desire.
"T-there... even more..." Theo pleaded, his voice broken by moans.
His tight entrance, once narrow and shy, began to relax under Sig's careful ministrations. With every firm press of his fingers, more drops fell from Theo's member, leaving him dazed and trembling, his mind foggy with ecstasy.
For a brief moment, Theo's mind wandered back to the creaking sound of his brother's bed, the noise that echoed from the second floor of their new home late at night. He had always wondered why the bed made such sounds in the dead of night, and why his brother Julius seemed to glow with beauty the morning after. Now... now Theo understood.
"Fuaa... Mn... Aa-ah!" Theo cried out as he reached his peak, his body trembling with the force of his first release. He collapsed onto the now-damp blanket, his body spent, barely aware of the mess he had made. But Sig, looming over him, smiled down at him with a kindness that put Theo at ease. He saw his own reflection in Sig's jade-green eyes, those eyes still glistening with a tender warmth.
"Theo," Sig murmured, stroking his hair, "you're so sweet and lovely."
Pressed against Sig's chest, Theo could hear the rapid thumping of Sig's heart, each beat mirroring the rhythm of his own. The sound filled Theo's ears, blending with the pounding in his chest.
"Sig... What should I do?" Theo whispered. "My heart... it's pulsing so strongly, both mine and yours."
"Theo," Sig said softly, "when you grow a little older... if you still remember me and want to see me again, come to the castle. Bring this with you."
Gently, Sig rolled up his sleeve and removed a bracelet from his wrist. The golden band, glinting in the sun, was set with a jade stone, the same color as Sig's eyes. It sparkled so brightly that Theo's heart gave a little flutter.
"Wa-ah, how beautiful!" Theo exclaimed, his eyes wide.
"This is a talisman, one that will protect you," Sig said. "In return, take off that anklet of yours, and never wear it again... alright?"
Theo, clutching the heavy bracelet in his hand, removed the anklet from his foot. Placing both rings of metal in his palm, they kissed once more—a kiss that was the longest and softest Theo had ever known.
"Sig..." Theo whispered, his heart aching with emotions he couldn't quite name.
"By the time you grow up, I will be a proper younger brother, someone who can support his elder. So don't forget to visit me."
Theo, who longed to meet Sig again the very next day, wanted to say so out loud. But the sadness of parting reflected in Sig's eyes, and Theo could feel the weight of it. The young boy, who had bid farewell to many friends on his journey, sensed Sig's readiness for this separation. Even though it would be lonely, Theo knew that this parting was necessary for both of them. And somehow, he felt certain that when they met again, Sig would shine even brighter than before.
He was sure he could endure the loneliness, even if it stung, knowing that one day they would meet again.
"When I've grown up, and Sig has become a fine younger brother... then, will we meet again?" Theo asked, his voice hopeful.
"We will meet, I promise," Sig replied. "And when we do, I'll make you wholly mine... So come to me with an open heart. Of course, I will be yours as well."
"Will we become lovers?" Theo asked shyly.
"More than that," Sig replied, his smile more dazzling than the golden bracelet. Theo's heart gave a little jolt, and for a moment, he feared it might burst from his chest.
"I'll take you home on horseback," Sig offered.
But instead of rising, he remained sitting on the grass. Theo tilted his head in confusion, and Sig, his face flushed, turned away slightly.
"There are times," Sig said with a sheepish smile, "when a grown man can't just get up immediately... especially when he's near someone he cares for. Your clothes aren't dry yet, so let's sit here a little longer."
Theo, now nestled beside Sig, held the two bracelets in his hands and nodded in agreement. He didn't fully understand what was happening, but he was overjoyed to be called "someone he cared for." Feeling content, he rested his head against Sig's shoulder.
If Julius and Fernan had seen Theo returning home on Sig's splendid white horse, they surely would have been astonished. Theo would secretly return the anklet to its place, so as not to disturb the past, but he would care for his brother even more than before.
Sig, too, would return to the castle, where he would work to improve his relationship with his brothers, bonds that had once been distant. They both knew that if they worked hard, the day would come when they could meet again.
And Theo could hardly wait for that day.
"Hm? Ah... why the castle? Does Sig work in the castle?" Theo asked, suddenly curious as Sig fastened the bracelet around his wrist. The blond looked a little embarrassed, then let out a soft laugh.
