The Truth Unveiled
"Stop...!!"
Ren's voice rang out as soon as he saw
Mikado's clenched fist.
Until now, Ren had been paralyzed with
fear, barely able to speak. But Mikado, as if snapped out of it, froze in
place. His tightly balled fist, trembling with the fury he was about to unleash
on Masachika, also halted.
The usually lively and youthful
expression that Mikado wore was gone, replaced by an icy, sharp glare. He
gripped Masachika's collar tightly, his gaze so piercing with rage that even
Masachika was visibly shaken.
"Stop, Mikado..."
—If Mikado were to attack Masachika
here, it could lead to even more trouble later.
Involving Mikado, the head of a major
corporation, in a family squabble like this was unthinkable. Masachika might be
incompetent, but he was cunning. If Mikado were to lay a hand on him now, it
would give Masachika the perfect excuse to drag down the Mikado family's
reputation.
Ren realized this instinctively and
forced his trembling body and mind back under control. Slowly, he pushed
himself up from the sofa.
"Let him go, Mikado."
"But...!"
"Just let him go. Now."
Mikado shot a glance at Ren, then,
reluctantly, released Masachika with an irritated motion. Masachika, half
shoved away, staggered a few steps backward before glaring at Mikado, his face
red with anger, and shouting in a high-pitched voice.
"Who the hell do you think you
are?! How dare an outsider come here and—"
"Enough! You shut up, too!"
"Ugh..."
Ren cut him off with a cold, severe
tone, silencing Masachika, who had been trying to shift the blame onto Mikado.
Ren, still disheveled, stood up and walked unsteadily towards Masachika, who
had lost all his bravado since Mikado appeared. Ren didn't take his eyes off
him for even a second.
"Masachika Kunishiro. I hereby
remove you from your position as a director at Kunishiro Holdings."
"W-What!? Ren, you said earlier
you weren't considering something like that!"
"I just changed my mind. I've
been merciful enough, letting you keep your executive position, but then you
had the nerve to assault me. Did you really think you'd get away with
that?"
"N-No, you're mistaken! I only
came here to clarify the situation! But you—"
"Clarify...!? How dare you say
that to Mr. Ren!"
Unable to bear Masachika's pitiful
excuses any longer, Mikado finally raised his voice. His aggressive energy
surged as if he were ready to pounce on Masachika. But Ren stepped in between
them, calmly yet firmly, and delivered his final verdict, glaring at Masachika
from below.
"You're fired. Never show your
face to me again."
"R-Ren...!!"
"This conversation is over. Get
out."
With those words, Ren pressed the
intercom on his desk and called security. Within seconds, several large men in
black arrived and forcefully escorted Masachika out of the office. Even as he
was being dragged away, Masachika continued shouting, blaming Ren and calling
the Kunishiro family's actions tyrannical.
When the echoes of that detestable
voice finally disappeared down the hallway, Ren let out a long, exhausted sigh.
"Mr. Ren...!!"
As Ren's body began to collapse from
exhaustion, Mikado quickly caught him. But Ren swatted his hand away with a
sharp slap.
The sound echoed through the now
silent room.
"Don't touch me!!"
Ren could sense Mikado drawing in a
sharp breath, but he couldn't bear to meet his gaze. There was no way Ren could
remain calm after Mikado had seen him in such a pitiful state—tears in his
eyes, nearly overpowered by another man.
Ren's mind was taut, unwilling to
burden Mikado's career or show him such weakness. But he felt as if everything
could come crashing down at any moment. Stumbling slightly, Ren leaned against
his desk, hastily closing his torn shirt, gripping the fabric tightly with
trembling hands.
Maintaining as much dignity as
possible, Ren spoke in a firm tone.
"Leave. Now."
"..."
"Didn't you hear me? Get out,
now!! This is a matter pertaining to the Kunishiro family. It's not your place
to interfere."
"But I—"
"Get out!! How long are you going
to just stand there...!"
Ren had meant to push Mikado away, to
sever their connection harshly.
But the next moment, what enveloped
him was the warm embrace of the soulmate he had longed for so deeply.
Mikado was holding him tightly, face
to face.
The scent of his freshly ironed shirt
and the sweet fragrance emanating from Mikado's skin tickled Ren's nose.
This warmth—Mikado's warmth—was
something Ren had yearned to feel ever since they met. Now, being held in those
arms, Ren could hardly believe it. He was left speechless.
"I can't leave you like this! How
could I, when you're trembling so much, after what happened?! I won't leave you
alone!"
"L-let… go…"
"I won't let go. I'm sorry... If
only I'd come sooner..."
Mikado tightened his embrace as if to
protect Ren. Mikado's warmth was so gentle, soothing Ren's body, stiff with
fear and cold to the bone.
Overwhelmed by a wave of relief, Ren's
body gave way, trembling violently. He raised his shaking hands and clung to
Mikado's suit.
"Hah… hah… ha..."
Finally able to breathe freely, Ren
gasped for air, his breaths uneven. His vision blurred with tears as they
soaked into Mikado's suit, disappearing without a trace.
Silently, Ren clung to him, his pale
fingers gripping Mikado's jacket tightly. Mikado held him close without letting
go, whispering softly in his deep voice, "It's alright. It's all going to
be alright."
"Hah… ha…"
"Everything's fine now. Breathe
deeply and slowly."
Mikado's warm voice, resonating from
their connected bodies, was calm and low, comforting Ren's ears. Ren closed his
eyes and let Mikado's gentle words wash over him.
In that moment, he could hear Mikado's
heartbeat—quick, pounding against his chest. Ren wanted to hear that heartbeat
even closer...
And then, something began to stir
inside him from deep within.
—Thump...
"...Ah…!"
"Mr. Ren?"
—My heat… it's coming…! I have to
get away from Mikado now...!
"L-let me go!"
"Mr... Ren…?"
Ren's body began to throb, the primal
instincts of an Omega reacting to the pheromones of his "soulmate."
His Omega nature surged violently, responding to Mikado's Alpha presence, as if
asserting its existence, as if desperately reaching for the Alpha who had
finally appeared within arm's reach.
Even through his shirt, the places
where Mikado touched him burned intensely. Suddenly, Ren's senses were
heightened, and alarmed by this change, he weakly pushed Mikado away. Mikado
stumbled a step backward but kept watching Ren with a worried expression.
From the spot where Mikado still held
Ren's arm, a slow, sinful pleasure spread through his body. Ren shuddered and
desperately tried to distance himself from Mikado.
—The suppressant… I need to take it
quickly, or Mikado will know everything...!
"It's… it's alright now. I'm
fine. Sorry, but tonight's plans—"
"You're obviously not fine! Your
body is burning up…"
"Nngh… ahh!"
Mikado's large hand gently touched
Ren's forehead. That simple touch sent an electric wave of sensual heat surging
through Ren's body.
Mikado, witnessing Ren's reaction,
furrowed his brows in concern. But as Ren's heat gradually rose, Mikado's eyes,
too, began to flicker with an unmistakable primal glow.
"Hah... d-don't touch me..."
"Why... why is this happening?
Mr. Ren is an Alpha, and yet..."
"…"
Drawn by Ren's pheromones, it seemed
Mikado was on the verge of entering heat himself. His breathing quickened, and
a subtle flush of desire spread across his usually composed features.
The moment Ren saw Mikado's rare,
pained expression, his heart leapt wildly in his chest.
—I want him... I want him... I need
him... This man... I need him...
—I want to be held, fiercely,
deeply... I want this Alpha's semen...
Ren turned his back on Mikado as if to
shake off the Omega's voice echoing in his mind. He reached for his jacket,
which lay over the desk.
His fingers, losing control, searched
the inner pocket. He tried to move quickly, but his motions were slow,
uncoordinated. Though he managed to retrieve the case of suppressant tablets he
always kept with him, as he fumbled to open it, the pills scattered across the
carpeted floor.
"Ah...!"
"What's this?"
"Don't... don't touch that!"
One of the small, white pills rolled
toward Mikado's feet on the dark gray carpet. Before Ren could stop him, Mikado
picked it up and examined the name engraved on the tablet.
"Suppressant...?"
Ren couldn't even begin to imagine
what expression he wore as Mikado's gaze slowly lifted. He had no idea how he
looked back at Mikado in that moment.
"...You're an Omega?"
It almost felt as though Ren had been
waiting for this moment.
A part of him had wanted this truth to
be revealed to Mikado all along.
His reason tried to reject it, but his
instincts were undeniable.
Ren could only gaze at Mikado in
silence, waiting for whatever words would come next.
